Quirky Elegant Cleveland Wedding
Friends since their time in Cleveland, the couple’s love blossomed once both were living in NYC. With backgrounds in theatre management (hers) and clowning, juggling, and performing as a mime (his), they’ve embraced their adopted hometown from day one. Still, for their big day, the festivities returned to Cleveland, where friends and family gathered to celebrate their union.
The ceremony itself took place at her alma mater, Notre Dame College, where her father still taught biology. Guests gathered in Christ the King Chapel for the Catholic service, preceded by the bride’s intimate Marian presentation. Ceremony music provided by their family members provided a beautiful touch.
Formal photos immediately followed the ceremony, while the guests moved on to The College Club of Cleveland (which I had outfitted earlier with personal decor, including a map of NYC, origami escort “cards,” and an entire separate kids section to keep the tykes entertained for the evening). The bride and groom - having changed into their signature purple Converse shoes - made their entrance to beautiful harp and flute music. Cupcakes in lieu of traditional cake, complete with a knife-juggling demo by the groom (he is a professional clown, after all!), capped off the Cleveland extravaganza.
